As a condition of publication in CUDES, authors must archive all primary data and relevant, non-proprietary computer code in a permanent, secure, public depository that issues a persistent identifier such as a DOI or accession number. If the study uses data from the published literature or public sources, all compiled datasets analyzed must be included in the archive. All analyses reported in an article must be repeatable using the archived data and code. Articles will proceed to publication only when data have been archived and a DOI or accession number provided and approved.
CUDES promote ethical re-use of data. Original data sources must be cited. We recommend that authors who re-use published data seek to collaborate with the original data providers when appropriate.
Once an article has been published in CUDES, the editors and editorial board strongly encourage authors to archive the original article text (pdfs from journal web site/archive) in publicly available and permanent repositories whenever possible and appropriate. The Journal makes no recommendation or suggestion as to which repositories are most appropriate but encourages authors to identify those which best meet their needs as well as the needs of those who will be accessing the data.
All the high level data and full texts of the articles published in CUDES are stored in XML and .pdf formats in a third party cloud server that is closed to access.
Personal Data Protection
Personal information like names and e-mail addresses submitted to the CUDES journal management system will be used exclusively for this journal and scientific aims. Such information will not be used for other purposes and will not be shared with third parties. CUDES guarantees that no personal data will be shared with third party persons or institutions. The personal information which is already shared with CUDES for academic purposes is protected by the article track system that CUDES uses against any unwanted access.
