Abstract

Abstract

This study examined the relationship between lifelong learning attitudes and information technology self-efficacy perceptions among Syrian middle school students under temporary protection. Using a correlational survey design, the sample comprised 186 students attending a public middle school in eastern Türkiye. Data were collected through the Lifelong Learning Attitude Scale and Information Technology Self-Efficacy Scale and analyzed using demographic comparisons and correlation analyses. Female students scored higher than male students across all dimensions, while students aged fourteen and those in eighth grade reported higher creative thinking, individual-social competence, and technology self-efficacy. Significant differences were observed for Turkish proficiency and parental education, whereas daily internet and social media use did not produce significant differences. Technology self-efficacy was strongly and positively associated with self-directed learning and information seeking, as well as creative thinking and individual-social competence. The findings indicate that digital self-efficacy, language development, and purposeful technology use should be supported together.
