Abstract
Her başarılı insanın başı sıkıştığı vakit, kapısını çaldığı, akıl danıştığı bir yol göstericisi vardır. Hiçbir okulun öğretemediği, okuduğu kitapların anlatamadığını hayat tecrübeleriyle sunan sevecen bir bilge kişi, deneyimlerini ve birikimlerini paylaşacak, kendileriyle aynı yollardan geçmiş kişidir: Mentor. Yunan Mitolojisinde; Odysseus’un rehberi ve aynı zamanda arkadaşı, oğlu Telemachus’un da öğretmeni olan ‘Mentor’, bu sürece adını veren kişidir. Odysseus savaşa katıldığı sırada Mentor Telemachus’un eğitimine üstlenmiştir. Mentor’ un görevi ise, Telemachus’u eğitip bilgilendirmek ve Ithaca kralı olarak yetiştirmekti. Günümüzde ise, mentorluk kelimesi rehber, güvenilir danışman ve akıl hocası anlamına gelmektedir. Tüm mesleklerde olduğu gibi ebelik mesleğinde de mentorluğun oynadığı rol çok büyüktür. Araştırmamızın amacı ebelik öğrencilerinin gebe ve hastalarla olan iletişimlerini güçlendirmek, problem çözme yeteneklerini geliştirmek, yeni gelişmekte olan teknolojilere adaptasyon süreçlerini kolaylaştırmak ve kendi bilgi/becerilerini geliştirmelerini sağlamaktır. Ebelik mesleğinde hedefini henüz belirleyememiş, kurum kültürüne alışmakta ve kendi başına karar vermekte zorlanan, desteğe ihtiyaç duyan öğrencilerin tespit edilmesi ve mentor meslektaşları tarafından desteklenmesini sağlamaktır. Bu çalışmayla Sağlık kurum ve kuruluşlarını ileriye ve daha iyiye taşımak, stajyer ebelerin performansını yükseltmek, gelecek planlarının yapılması, bireysel ve kurumsal hedeflere ulaşılması hedeflenmektedir. Öğrencilerin ilk günlerinden itibaren hızlı ve sağlıklı bir biçimde Üniversitenin akademik hayatına ve sosyal yaşamına kolay uyum sağlamalarına yardımcı olmaktır. Uygulanacak olan Mokken Mentorluk ölçek analizi ve On-Maddeli Kişilik Ölçeği ile ebelik öğrencilerinin mentorluğun değerini keşfetmesi hedeflenmiştir

Every successful person has a mentor who knocks on his door and consults when he is in trouble. A loving wise person who presents with his life experiences what libraries full of books cannot tell and no school can teach is a person who will share his experiences and knowledge and have gone through the same paths as them: Mentor. “In Greek Mythology; The friend and guide of Odysseus, the 'Mentor', who is also the teacher of his son Telemachus, is the person who gave the name to this process. While Odysseus joined the war, Mentor undertook his son's education. His mission was to educate and inform Telemachus and to raise him as king of Ithaca. Today, the word mentor means guide, trusted advisor and mentor. As in all professions, the role of mentoring in the midwifery profession is huge. Our research’s aim is to strengthen the communication of midwifery students with pregnant women and patients, to improve their problem-solving skills, to facilitate their adaptation to new emerging technologies, and to enable them to develop their own knowledge/skills. It is to identify students who have not yet determined their goals in the midwifery profession, who have difficulty in getting used to the corporate culture and making decisions on their own, and who need support, and to ensure that they are supported by their mentor colleagues. With this study, it is aimed to move health institutions and organizations forward and better, to increase the performance of intern midwives, to make future plans, and to reach individual and institutional goals. To help students adapt quickly and healthily to the academic and social life of the University from their first days. With the Mokken scale analysis and the Ten-Item Personality Scale to be applied, it is aimed that midwifery students discover the value of mentoring. |
